Andres Maasing to Leave Enefit Green's Management Board in March

Andres Maasing, a member of the Management Board and the Chief Development Officer at Enefit Green, will voluntarily step down from the company's Management Board on March 4, 2025, to take on new challenges at one of Australia's largest energy companies.

According to Juhan Aguraiuja, Chairman of the Management Board of Enefit Green, Maasing's tenure, though brief, coincided with the most critical period for project implementation.

"Over the past year, several key development projects have either been completed or are nearing completion. Andres's determination and willingness to collaborate were instrumental in successfully navigating this period. I am very sorry to see him go," said Aguraiuja. "Enefit Green's goal is sustainable development and profitable growth, with development projects playing a crucial role. We have a very extensive development portfolio, and the future head of development will also contribute to its focused and sustainable realization."

Andres Maasing's tenure on the Enefit Green management board began on April 3, 2023. During this time, the development of the Sopi-Tootsi renewable energy area in Estonia and the Akmenė wind farm in Lithuania have reached their final stages. The Šilalė II wind farm in Lithuania has also been completed, and work is progressing rapidly on the Kelmė I and II wind farms and the Carnikawa solar park in Latvia.

"Enefit Green gave me the opportunity to be part of the growth story of one of the fastest-growing renewable energy companies in the region. I am very grateful for this opportunity, as it allowed me to make a significant contribution to the company's ambitious goals together with a great team," said Maasing. "This autumn, we surpassed the 1,000 MW mark in installed electricity generation capacity, which allows me to pass the baton with peace of mind." Enefit Green currently operates 587 MW of electricity generation capacity. There are 637 MW of new capacities under construction, of which 459 MW have been installed to date. Of these, approximately 410 MW are already producing electricity.

In addition to Mr Aguraiuja and Mr Maasing, the management board of Enefit Green currently consists of four members, including Innar Kaasik, who is responsible for production, and Argo Rannamets, who will start as a member of the management board and CFO on January 31, 2025.

Enefit Green is one of the leading renewable energy producers and developers in the Baltic Sea region. The company's shares are listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange, and it has nearly 64,000 investors. The company operates wind farms in Estonia, Lithuania, and Finland, solar parks in Estonia and Poland, a waste-to-energy cogeneration plant in Estonia, and a hydroelectric power plant in Estonia. Additionally, the company is developing several wind and solar parks in the aforementioned countries.
