Enefit Green's solar parks showed good performance in March

Enefit Green produced almost 30% less electricity this March than in the same period last year. The output was mostly affected by calmer than average wind conditions.

Today, on 12 April, Enefit Green published its production results for March. The company produced nearly 86 gigawatt-hours of electricity with the month. Heat output reached almost 57 gigawatt-hours in March, being approximately 4% less compared to the previous year.

According to Innar Kaasik, Member of the Management Board and Head of Production at Enefit Green, the company's solar parks in Estonia and Poland showed good performance and high reliability in March. “Spring is an ideal time to generate electricity from sunlight because low air temperatures keep solar panels cool and solar intensity is high in clear weather. As this March was less cloudy than usual, probably all solar panel owners saw a good return,” Kaasik explained.

Kaasik added that increasing the production of solar energy was one of the key goals of the company. “Enefit Green is currently building two new solar parks in Poland with a total capacity of 14.8 megawatts. We hope to reach the next investment decisions this year for the construction of solar parks in both Estonia and Poland,” Kaasik noted.

Enefit Green's quarterly electricity production increased by 22.1% to 367.9 gigawatt-hours. This was mainly due to good wind conditions in January and February. As a result, wind energy output increased by a total of 25.6% year-on-year.

Heat output reached 173 gigawatt-hours, being 1,4% less compared to the previous year.
